The Energy Transformation Center (ETC) was established on July 2019 at Universidad Andres Bello (UNAB), with the vision of to be a center of excellence, recognized nationally and internationally for the quality of its work and its role in developing high-impact research, thus positioning UNAB as a significant contributor to the scientific and technological development of the country in the areas of Power Electronics, Renewable Energies, Electromobility and Power Systems. Currently, it is looking for ambitious, talented academics with a passion for teaching as well as research flair to join its team of science and engineering experts.

UNAB, together with ETC is offering 4 full-time academic positions in the following subject areas to work with ETC and contributing at the creation of the new career of Civil Engineering in Energy:

• Electrical power systems
• Electrical machines and Drives
• Automatic control
• Digital control and Microprocessors

The successful candidate will be expected to have extensive research experience and expertise in one of the aforementioned subject areas, to conduct original research in appropriate fields and play a lead role in collaborative research projects, leading to high quality publications and grant income. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with the administration and teaching of the new career of Civil Engineering in Energy, which is currently under development at UNAB, and in general contribute to the ETC growth in the field of Electrical Engineering. Skills in power electronics control and design are also desired but not required.

Full time contract as Assistant/Associate Professor with competitive salary, depending on experience.
